Camera Angle Blog Post

Last Friday I and a classmate worked on and completed a camera angles and shots project. During this assignment we created a PowerPoint and captured various shots and angles as examples. I personally thought the entirety of the assignment was interesting and enjoyed capturing and labeling the shots and working with my partner. We took some funny shots and I particularly enjoyed taking some of the generally funny ones we used the most; like the extreme close up where I used a very zoomed in picture of my face with a paper mustache on it. We also took a Low angle shot where my partner was on his phone working as I took the photo, which I think is a realistic and just average shot.

During the assignment we took a variety of shots, some much funnier than others. Some examples of what I captured for the assignment but not all are; a Canted/Dutch angle, Extreme close up, High and Low angle, medium shot, and a two shot. During the assignment we ran into a couple troubles that we easily thought and resolved quickly, such as taking the Over the Shoulder shot, we needed a way to capture the photo and resolved it by asking a friend to stand as the shoulder seen in the picture. Another was thinking of a POV shot when I looked at a desk and thought of the POV of writing or using a laptop and went and captured the picture seen in our PowerPoint at the very desk.
