Supporting Character analysis Blog Post

We only have a singular main character so in this blog I will describe the use of our props.

Knife, the use of the knife is to initially hint at the murder, a knife with visible preferably dried blood upon its blade will be shown hiding within the garbage, the plate and wrapper promptly covering it.

Plate and Poptart wrapper, I put these together because they essentially serve the same exact purpose, either draw away from the knife with blood shown in the disposal bin, and to add a reason to show the bin without suspicion of making it extensively obvious or overtaking.

Poptart, cherry, a cherry Poptart is to symbolize the blood and the crime, cherry being tart and not seen in holiness and to be our first hint at the murder.

Toothbrush, this again is to distract likely the bloody attire of which can be visibly viewed upon the main character, the blood not being overly gruesome or extreme but just little enough where it makes it indivisible unless there is minimal detail paid to the clothes wear which is what the toothbrush is purposed for.

New Clothing, this will be shown at the same time as our toothbrush scene, to hint at what should be seen instead of the toothbrush.

Blood-stained clothing, this is to show and to further hint at what our main character did, we are also using this to fill time and to distract or contrast from the following scene point.

Newspaper, this is the most normal prop there, this scene will have nothing gruesome and nothing unusual but from all previous hints this scene it to make the viewer uncomfortable and make them observant.

Bloody child's doll, this prop is going to be face down in the background of our television scene, used to hint further at what happened, the little doll of a child symbolizing that one, he has kids, two they are dead, three he has a daughter that he killed.

Other Childrens dolls, this one is to show the family, while only the little girl being the bloody one, we will show other dolls in correspondence to the rest of the family, face down equaling dead whilst face up is meant to symbolize life with only the ken doll being face up and active.

Tv remote, to distract from out dolls and to turn off the TV, ultimately a filler prop.

Suitcase, this prop is seen being shoved into the car trunk of our characters car, it will be a black suitcase with nothing out of the normality but if the observer was informed and took the former clues then they like the newspaper scene and be informed they would look for little clues, none to be found.

Finished Project Feelings Blog Post

I feel dissatisfied with my final opener, I feel if my team members actually pulled their weight and participated that we would of successfully made things correctly up to vision rather than speak about helping then pressure me last minute to complete the entirety of the project. Some issues were filming, it was actually a major issue. I was the only one willing to buy and CORRECTLY use props, I also was the Foley stage for the extra sounds, I also filmed all scenes but 1-2 which had to be modified to make the already easiest scenes easier, and I had to participate in parts of the project that were not my expertise and or my job to do as agreed. I feel like if I had partners who were as dedicated as me we would have had a project that was outstandingly perfect. I learned that if you want things done to do them yourself and to not wait on words, I'm also learned how to correctly modify props and make them fit my view and how to negotiate with actors onto what they would like to do a...

Creative Critical Reflection Post

How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?   The movie is themed as a mystery horror, the stereotypical black wearing killer was not seen in ours or that it was someone of a less fortunate backstory. We also kept stereotypes within our film by the killer being unmasked, but also combated this by the killer being shown and present in the first scene rather than later introduced. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?   It is meant to attract and hold medias focus with its mystery aspect part of it, every individual who i have spoken to about this film has mentioned that it is unsolved and that they are curious about it and don't understand, leeching for more information to be provided. The wow aspect for our film is generally meant to be the solving of this crime as everything unfolds, in what we filmed it does not included that wow factor as much as it d...
